Updates to PTCAS
Each year, PTCAS implements certain updates and enhancements to the content, policies, features, functionality, and integrations with outside platforms found in the application and WebAdMIT. The final list of changes for an upcoming cycle is published and shared with participating programs each year, typically by early-February. A summary of the most recent changes implemented can be found below.

PTCAS Program Deadlines and Dates
- Jan. 18 Academic Update Priority Deadline Priority deadline date for applicants to submit updated coursework and transcripts for newly completed courses to PTCAS.
- Jan. 31 PTCAS Portal Open for Directory Changes Update your program's online profile, application deadline date and course prerequisites.
- Jan. 31 PTCAS 2022-23 Changes Document Posted Accepted enhancement suggestions posted.
- Feb. 15 Academic Update Period Closes Last chance for applicants to submit updated coursework and transcripts to PTCAS.
- March 4 Directory Edits Due Final deadline to submit changes to online profile.
- April 4 Configuration Portal Opens Time to set up your application content.
- May 6 PTCAS Configuration Portal Closes Applicant content submission deadline.
- June 1 PTCAS Directory Updates Go Live Directory updates go live for applicants to view.
- June 1 Document Receipt Deadline Last day PTCAS will accept documents from applicants (2021-2022 applicants).
- June 2 Professional Transcript Entry Approval Deadline If you are using a professional transcript entry service, coursework must be approved date.
- June 15 PTCAS Application Opens Applicants can begin creating accounts and submitting materials.
- June 15 PTCAS Applicant Data in WebAdMIT Programs can start seeing applicant information in WebAdMIT.
- June 15 PTCAS Transfer of Setting Available in WebAdMIT Institution managers in WebAdMIT will be able to bring last year's WebAdMIT settings to this year or create new ones.
- July 1 PTCAS Custom Export Layout Available The document that details every data point collected in PTCAS and how to export it out of WebAdMIT.
- July 15 PTCAS Criminal Background Check Process Begins
- August 15 Application Submission Deadlines Begin Application deadlines are the first and fifteenth of each month, or the following business day.
- Sep. 23 PTCAS Final Decisions Due Programs are required to report final admissions decision on each applicant for previous applicant cycle.
- Sep. 30 PTCAS Enhancement Suggestions Deadline Last chance to provide PTCAS with feedback on the application process for the upcoming cycle.
- Oct. 14 Matriculated Elsewhere Report Release Report showing all applicants to your program, where they have applied and final decisions for each program to which they have applied is available in WebAdmit.
- Dec. 15 Academic Update Opens Make updates to recently completed or planned/in-progress course work on already-submitted application.
- Dec. 15 Applicant Data Report Release Annual applicant data report with summary data for the previous cycle posted (link coming in February)
PTCAS Applicant Deadlines
- Jan. 18 Academic Update Priority Deadline Date preferred by many programs for application to have completed the academic update process.
- Feb. 1 PTCAS Changes Document Posted Suggestions made by applicants and programs for PTCAS are shared.
- Feb. 15 Academic Update Closes Final deadline to submit newly completed coursework and updated transcripts through the academic update process.
- May 31 Application Close Date for Current Cycle Application submissions no longer being accepted.
- June 1 Document Receipt Deadline Last day PTCAS will accept documents from applicants (2021-2022 applicants).
- June 2 Professional Transcript Entry Approval Deadline If you are using a professional transcript entry service, coursework must be approved date.
- June 3 Resubmission Deadline If your application was sent back, this is the deadline for resubmitting it.
- June 15 PTCAS Application Submissions Open Time to submit your applications. Applications are submitted beginning August 1, every 1st and 15th of the month or on the following business day should that date fall on a weekend or federal holiday.
- Aug. 1 Initial Application Submission Date For Each Cycle Application deadlines can be submitted the first and fifteenth of every month, or on the following business day if the date lands on a weekend or federal holiday.
- Oct. 1 PTCAS Enhancement Suggestions Deadline Your chance to provide PTCAS with feedback on the application process.
- Dec. 15 Academic Update Opens Make updates to recently completed or planned/in-progress course work on already-submitted application.
